The CHRISTMAS TROLLS OF ICELAND

The legend of the Jolasveinar began with
a fierce troll couple, Gryla and
Leppaluthi.Their sons are the Icelandic
Santa Clauses and they start to come to
town from their home in the mountains
on December 12 and come one a day until
Christmas. They play tricks on the people
wherever they go but leave a gift or a
treat in the shoes of the children who
have been good, a potato if they have been
naughty.

On  their way the Trolls make their way
through the magnificent Icelandic
countryside
